SMC Compact Flash Wireless-LAN-Karte
SMC WLAN CF-Karte Die SMC Wireless LAN-Karte ist klein, unproblematisch zu installieren und läßt Kopfhörerbuchse und Stift frei. Eine Kontroll-LED informiert über den Netzwerkstatus. Die Karte wird vom Zaurus automatisch erkannt und ist nach Eingabe der üblichen Daten betriebsbereit.

Besonderheiten: Die SMC-Karte hat sich bei unseren Tests im Bereich der Datenübertragung als etwas robuster herausgestellt. Reichweiten und Signalpegel lagen über der Buffalo WLAN-Karte. Nachteilig wirkt sich der offensichtlich höhere Stromverbrauch auf die Akkulaufzeit aus. Wir erreichten nur etwa 90 Minuten Dauerbetrieb (Licht 100% und Dauerpingen ins Netz). Einsatzgebiet: kurze Surfzeiten aber bessere Verbindungen bei entfernter Basisstation.
